Not only will Durham host All About Beer’s World Beer Festival on Saturday, October 8, 2011 (which has likely been on area beer lovers’ calendars for quite some time), but it will also be the site for a few other beer events both before and after the Durham Bulls Athletic Park sees its last pretzel necklace this weekend.

1st Annual Ales for Rail-Trails 5k
Fullsteam Brewery
Sunday, October 9, 2011
4:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.

The race will be a 5k run or walk from Fullsteam onto the American Tobacco Trail and back. This is a family event. Kiddies and strollers welcome. Please support North Carolina Rail-Trails in a day of fitness, fun, and ales!

After the race, stay and enjoy the music of Mary Johnson Rockers and the Spark. Fullsteam will debut a limited edition Rail-Trail Pale Ale, with proceeds benefiting North Carolina Rail-Trails.

    I can’t believe I missed this awesome weekend! I was so close to the city but I was busy with work. Please post pictures of the events. Did you attend the daily events in this schedule? I am so jealous!
